Arbuthnot House is set in quiet, mature and secluded gardens of just under 1 acre, and is approached by a 200m private drive lined with 100 year old lime trees.

Anna and Andrew have spent 25 years developing a garden with a wide collection of plants from every continent. The gardens provide interest all year round, starting with drifts of snowdrops and wood anenomes, crocuses, hellebores and narcissus in Spring. Species rhododendorns from Spring to early Summer provide exotic colour and interest, as do the magnolias and camellias.

In summer there is a large collection of scented roses and herbaceous plants. There is a mixture of mature broad leaved, coniferous and flowering trees from Bhutan, Chile, Japan, Korea and North America.

Visitors are welcome to use all parts of the garden to relax in one of the many pleasant and sheltered areas.
